Host Open House on monthly basis or as needed to allow visitors from all communities to openly ask questions about Islam and give us a chance to get to know one another better.Organize youth-overnight programs that will include imān boosting and moral uplifting talks, heart-to-heart discussions, coaching, fun activities, midnight snacks, and reflections.Facilitate various halaqas and educational programs by qualified scholars for the community on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.Provide services for: the five daily congregational prayers, Friday sermon, taraweeh and eid prayers.
The Masjid will render the following services on a regular basis: Masjid Ali RA will serve the and spiritual needs of the Muslim community regardless of age, gender, race, color, background, ethnicity, religiosity and mazhab (school of Islamic jurisprudence). It was described as having 'presence, integrity and modesty.' The Masjid also won the Peoples Choice. The Masjid was completed in late 2000 and was shortlisted in 2005 for the ACE / RIBA Award for Religious Architecture. The HIC masjid, Masjid Ali, is named after Ali ibn Abi Talib who was the first among the youth to accept Islam at around 8 or 9 years of age and the second person after Khadija. He was also a cousin and son-in-law of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the fourth caliph of Muslims. The construction funds were donated entirely by the Muslim community with over 95 raised from local Muslims in Leicester.
